Fête de la bière

This past Saturday, Egletons had their Fête de la bière.  A quick educational lesson: Each city in France (big or small) is "sistered" with another city in the EU.  Most of the French towns are partnered with a German city and some of the bigger cities like Tulle have several "sibling" cities.  The city Egletons is partnered with is Uffenheim, Germany and they put on this festival every year.  The event was really fun with a live German band and half liter glasses of German beer. (You got to keep the glass as a keepsake) It was really fun and made me want to visit Germany someday... I am typically  more of a wino, but their beer was quite tasty...even if it was served at room temperature. We had a really fun time!  Here are a few snapshots from our Saturday.

  3. How fun that they put on a little festival! Most of the towns down south are twinned with towns in Italy. The town I'm moving to is twinned with Monte Porzio Catone, Italy. Just a fun fact for you that I just looked up :)
