I'm Dreaming of a French Christmas...

I decided to start a blog for our friends and family (which are literally ALL OVER THE WORLD) to keep up with the big things (and probably some trivial things) going on in our lives!

It only took me 3 months, but I wanted to re-cap our trip to France at Christmas!!! I hope you all enjoy :) Bisous!

For those of you who havent met Logan, he is my boyfriend of 10 months and conveniently enough, "Meeting the Family" involved an international trip to France over Christmas! His family moved over there 30 years ago as missionaries and are still there running a precious Bed and Breakfast called "The Colorado." I highly recommend everyone to go visit at some point! (Katy just got back from visiting during her stint in Spain)

This was my first international experience! We flew into Paris, had a quick 24 hour tour, and then headed 5 hours to Egletons (In Central France) to spend the holidays with his family. His sister and brother-in-law live next door to the Misegades and have 3 cuties Kaylin (4) , Sofia (2) , and now Ryan (2 months).

We scaled the countryside visiting old medieval towns and castle ruins... I tried all sorts of new cuisine- foi gras, escargot, canard, raclette, among other things. Mrs. (Sheri) Misegades is a 5 star chef! My favorite places were Sarlat (the medieval town where they filmed Ever After) and Beynac (in the Valley of 5 Chateaux). In addition to the sight seeing, I got to meet the friends, try out my broken French (thanks to Rosetta Stone) , and finally see where the Frenchy grew up. It was wonderful. Shout out to Elodie and her wonderful English :) You were a lifesaver!

We finished the trip off in Paris. We stayed with a family friend (Alex) and visited all the hot spots - Notre Dame (breathtaking), The Eiffel tower, The Lourve (where I bought my very first piece of original art) , The Latin Quarter, l'Opera, Champs Elysee, and a boat ride down the Seine River topped off with Nutella-filled crepes... My stomach is growling just thinking about it... Paris is everything and more than I imagined it would be! (Especially all lit up at Christmas)

Thanks to the Misegades clan for such a wonderful (White!!!) Christmas... Au Revior! A Bientot!
