WHITE.

WOW. I woke up this morning, put on my cute boots, and snuck outside to snap some pics before Logan got up... It was perfectly still. quiet. peaceful. beautiful. The snow was perfectly smooth- no footprints anywhere. As the day has progressed, we've watched out our window as adorable kiddos are squealing in delight and sledding down the street in laundry baskets and bundled up neighbors are walking their dogs, marveling at the beauty of our Lakewood neighborhood. Logan is sick, so we are staying warm and bundled up watching movies, sipping on coffee & hot chocolate, and enjoying our 2nd day off work this week!

P.S. Very happy we braved the grocery store this week- but it was pretty hilarious- they were out of EVERYTHING- including chicken?!?!?!? How is Kroger out of chicken? You would think that the world was ending or something.... but it was over a mere 6 inches of snow ;) Oh wow, us Texans are funny.

Side note: I have been experimenting with the program Picnik this week. I learned about it from one of my favorites bloggers, Melissa. I don't have $1,000 to drop on Photoshop, nor do I aspire to be a photographer...I just like taking pretty photos to store timeless memories of our little life. Hopefully, we will be able to invest in the Canon Rebel once our tax refund comes in! Right now I am just using my trusty pocket-sized Canon that I have had for 5 years. Its been really fun experimenting with Picnik and its VERY inexpensive- you should give it a try! It has given my pics a great facelift :)
