On Sunday, we slept in and showed Alexis & Charlie around The Colorado property. Logan and Charlie cooked us canard (duck) for lunch and we packed up and drove 2 hours to Bordeaux. Kristin and I did a ton of research to try to find a cute B&B in the city. The hotels were pretty expensive and Americanized and we really wanted to have the Bordeaux "experience."
We ended up booking a Bed & Breakfast called Jardin du Seqouia and overall it was a great! We were in the heart of Bordeaux and had access to bikes to get us around the city. High ceilings, dim lighting, French decor, and a HUGE bathroom with a bidet. (still not sure how it works?) The breakfast cellar was my favorite part! Most of the artwork in the house was created by the owner. The paintings in the cellar were my favorite, but unfortunately he paints for pleasure and doesn't sell his work.
On our balcony before dinner. (This was one of the cons- It was NOISY being street side. But for all you New Yorkers and downtown city lovers, it was probably just white noise!)
We walked down our little street and stumbled upon Bistro Regent. When we heard it was bottomless french fries and salad, we were SOLD!
The meal was AMAZING. It did NOT disappoint!
Spotted: The BEST comb-over I ever did see! :)
My new FAVORITE dessert: Profiteroles with Nutella chocolate sauce... YUMMY!
After a hearty dinner and couple bottles of wine, we walked home in the middle of the street like we owned the place :)
Logan asked us to strike our best "Boy Band" pose on our walk home... thus the outcome of this priceless photo :)
It was a FUN night followed by a very early wine tasting tour.... that is coming up next!
I can almost hear you guys laughing! Priceless photos of a fantastic trip. And yes, you do look a little "tooted" in the last photo! :) XOXO, Mom
