Earlier this year, I received a care package that will permanently change the way I preserve memories. It is called a Smash Journal and its one of those very simple ideas that was executed flawlessly. My lovely creative friend Lori (who created our adorable Save the Dates) sent it to me and I have since gifted it to my creative guru friend Nicki.
For those who are too busy or too "Type A" to scrapbook, these journals are filled with different pretty paper and all you have to do is gluestick your photos, cards, movie ticket stubs, etc. and write you caption. Voila! You are done. They also sell a wide variety of embellishments such as pockets for memories, washi tape, stickers, writing prompts, etc.
Lori gifted me the "Travel" theme, but there are other themes available. I plan on picking up a few more of these when I am home in June. They are sold at Michaels and Paper Source among other places.
Here are a few pages I have completed so far:
And here is a glance at some of the unfinished pages. They are so cute to begin with, it doesn't take much to snazz them up!
Still not sold? Watch this clever video that explains the whole concept and how easy they are to put together. It is supposed to be easy, brainless, and simple. Why did I not think of this idea???
Thanks to LORI for being such a creative inspiration for me. She is truly an early adopter of ALL THINGS CUTE! I love her friendship and I am so happy we have kept in touch post- Fossil.
XO,
Abby
