A Crafty and Yummy Saturday

The 3rd Annual Spring Bash was this past Saturday and it was one of the highlights of my weekend! Meredith picked Nicki and I up and we drove south of Downtown Dallas to go support almost 100 local artists at their booths.  It was so fun to walk around and see all the unique talent and ideas they had! We all 3 left with the same screen printed tank, Nicki got 2 pairs of earrings, Mere got a cuff made out of an old record (so cool) and fabric messenger bag, and I got the cutest mustard headband w/ a blue flower and feather on top! (I am wearing it today at work and getting very strange looks. People don't venture out much in my office. Oh well- live a little!)

In case you missed it this time, check their website HERE for the November Jingle Bash! It will not disappoint.

Afterwards, Mere took us to The Cedars Social for lunch! It was right down the street and I am guilty of judging a book by its cover because I would have NEVER ventured in there.  As we walked in, we felt as if we had stepped onto the set of Mad Men.  It had an vintage vibe complete with a library, indoor 70's style fireplace, and a Prohibition-themed drink menu.  We lunched on the patio with the mis-matched vintage furniture and sipped on mimosas with a gorgeous view of Downtown Dallas.

I got the fried chicken & waffles....but substituted the ACTUAL waffles, for skinny fries. I was naive and thought "waffles" surely meant "waffle fries"... glad I asked.  Go check it out!
