A Night at L'Opera

Last Sunday we were able to go watch the French Opera perform L'Enlevement au Serail.  Like I mentioned before, the whole cast and orchestra stayed at The Colorado so they gave us front row seats!  Unfortunately for me, it was sung in GERMAN with FRENCH subtitles...so I had to use my context clues to figure out the plot.

The opera lasted 3 hours and we had 2 intermissions/ champagne breaks.  (I like how the Frenchies think!) During our intermissions, Sheri & Logan would tease me and ask me to interpret what I thought was going on.... I was usually in the right general direction (and I use the word "general" very loosely!)

The Opera house was in a neighboring town called Sedieres in an old renovated barn.  It held about 300 people and it was adjacent to some old castle grounds.   From the Opera House you could see the Chateau! It was a beautiful area.

Here are a few of our favorite pictures + a short video of the finale!

It was a lovely experience and a night I will not forget.
